UCIX Studios Review

We had paid a bit more for this room here in Seminyak, it was about £10 a night, which for us it did seem like a lot. However if I went travelling now I probably would pay that for my own room. It was worth the money as well; this was definitely the cleanest property we stayed in. We had a huge double room with sparkling (compared to the others) ensuite. We felt like we had hit luxury; well we had, for us.

There was even a TV in the room! I think we put it on while we were packing up our bags to head onto the next country. This was also so useful; the amount of space in the room. We tipped out our bags three times over, until we were able to pack it back up in the best possible way to get on our flight in a couple of days.

The location of the studios were set a bit further away from the beach, we had to walk about twenty minutes to get down there. This was fine for us as a) we didn’t mind walking and b) it was quiet in the nights for a couple good night sleeps and late lay ins. There wasn’t any breakfast included here so we didn’t have to get up for anything, I don’t even remember there being a restaurant actually. You are ten minutes’ walk from lots of restaurants though, so not to worry.

The studios have a small garden in the middle of them with wooden flat blocks pathing the way to each room. It’s not very big, perhaps eight – ten rooms in total, it would be perfect for couples who are wanting a change of scenery from the hostels and want to get away from the action without paying loads for a really fancy, picture-perfect, place.
