Wonderland Guesthouse Review

Since we stayed here in 2016 this guesthouse has had a bit of a makeover and no longer the ‘Wonderland’ guesthouse and is now called the ‘Blackbird’ Guesthouse. Looking at recent reviews many travellers have said it is still really nice guesthouse to stay at.

We paid a total at that time of £8 for the both of us, for two nights, for a twin room, a private room just for us. I don’t remember it being the cleanest place we stayed in, but you are on an island you are dragging sand in with you all the time. The rooms were always tidy and beds made for you, which was a little added bonus. Breakfast was also included.

It was perfect for what we wanted, the location was just set back from the busiest area on Gili T so you didn’t have to travel far before, or after, your night out. It wasn’t a long walk to the beach every day, you could hire bicycles from just out the guesthouse if you wanted to cycle the island.

Staff were very friendly; they were all one family (I think they are all still a family but just a different one). The social area had bean bags if you had had enough of the busy area and just wanted to sit around and chat.

The guesthouse is not available on hostelworld, we booked through booking.com.
