Gili Air Garden Guesthouse Review

Gili Air has some of the most beautiful accommodation, Gili Air and Meno tend to be most in terms of price – perhaps the location as it is quieter and more couple oriented. The accomodation you can get can be right on the beach, your own thatched bungalow if you wanted. Our budget at the time didn’t stretch to this but the Gili Air Garden Guesthouse was still beautiful with the wooden features and gardens surrounding the rooms.

This again was our own private double room (they didn’t have any twins) and it cost us £16 for two nights, so the difference from Gili T is double. It was still very basic island accommodation, simple rooms just a bed and not much else. Each room had it’s own shower and toilet so this was a refreshing change for us at this point in our travelling journey. We didn’t mind paying more, we had our own little terrace area with chairs and a garden so we could sit out and be away from other people. We played cards and had beers here before we wandered around the island to find a beach bar.

Location was a twenty minute walk away from the docks and as we didn’t want to take a horse and cart it was quite a hot walk with all our backpacks and luggage. We were set away from the beach here so it was very quite at night time.

This was another family run property and they were also lovely. I don’t think we went to a family run place which wasn’t.

We booked this through Booking.com again however I think you need to book it through somewhere like Expedia currently.
